Emergency Leave & Quarantine Pay Survey Results
July 13, 2020
Given recent activity and an increase of reported COVID-19 cases across the country, Trion launched a pulse survey to collect data on how employers are adapting current emergency or paid quarantine leave policies to prepare for the current uptick and a potential second wave of COVID-19, in the Fall/Winter. The primary goal of the survey was to determine how employers are providing emergency leave or quarantine pay, differences in policies provided to employees (i.e. full time and part time) and possible policy provisions to address multiple paid leave events.
The collected responses represent a wide variety of industries from national, regional and local employers representing over 5,000,000 employees of today’s workforce. Results show that 77% of companies offered some type of ‘Quarantine Pay’ as a result of COVID-19, however, there are uncertainties when looking ahead into the future.
