Childcare Leave Survey Results

In response to the current state of the pandemic, many school districts across the country have announced school and daycares will not be ‘in-person’ for the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Other districts are waiting to make a final decision and some are planning to open as scheduled. Given the impact this may have on your employees who are parents, Trion’s Absence, Disability and Life Practice (ADL) launched a pulse survey to collect data on how employers are trying to balance employee needs while maintaining business operations due to school and daycare closures, hybrid learning plans and/or remote learning. The primary goal of the survey was to determine how employers are providing paid leaves, unpaid leaves and other options to address this issue to better support their employees.
The collected responses represent a wide variety of industries from 120 large employers with a national, regional and/or local presence.
